What a road this is, elevation changes, hairpins, sweepers, table-top like jumps, superb biking road, that's not from the A6 - head out North of preston on the A6, and you will come to a speed camera, in the 60 limit, just outside of garstang, a little further down the road, on the right hand side, is a cross roads, turn right here, and you are welcomed with a climb upwards.
If you have never been on this road, you are missing a treat on a bike, it's very twisty and windy, so watch out as you ride upwards, soon, you descent through a set of S-bends that can be taken quite quickly if you have the correct line, only to rise again, and take you into the village of Caton, which, if you turn right out of the T-junction, will take you onto Devils Bridge.
This ride-out route, also cuts out the rather boring, M6 section of the ride up to Devils Bridge, and it's far more interesting, and it doesn't add much time to a journey.
This onboard video is from the caton end, back to Quernmore.
