Looking for a twisty road in Lancs?

The B6243 Longridge to Clitheroe road is a great twisty road, it takes you into Clitheroe on the west side.

Fantastic countryside, if you want to back off and look around, complete with bridges over the River Ribble, the most pronounced being Edisford Bridge, and, if you look to your right, as you are approaching Edisford bridge through the last set of sweepers, you can see an old ruined bridge.

The road itself is full of sweepers, and hairpins, and is tight and twisty in places, and has some fast straights, it's a great 8 mile long blast, that hightens the senses and can fill you with adrenalin if ridden hard.

From Clitheroe, you can take the A59 off to Skipton, and off into the North Yorkshire Moors - a great ride-out for any bike.
